About Us
Bird lovers Willy and Amanda Buck specialize in hand-tamed and hand-fed cage birds, while we occasionally will have unrelated breeders.
Bucksburg Birds is the name we use for the bird raising hobby of siblings Willy and Amanda Buck. We have been supplying cage birds to bird lovers in the Michiana area and beyond since 2002.
We have always liked birds. We started out with a few Zebra Finches and Budgies acquired in 2001, and over the years (as we keep learning about birds) have added more species. We now offer Zebra Finches, Bourke's Parakeets, Cockatiels, Green-cheeked Conures, and Sun Conures.
We hand-feed and/or tame most of our hookbills, and occasionally have hand-fed, tame Zebra Finches.
Our operation currently consists of a total of 7 breeding pairs.

All of our baby birds grow up in our care and we try to interact with each one that is supposed to be tame on a regular basis.
Our smaller birds are fed a seed diet supplemented with pellet morsels and selected fruits and vegetables. Our Conures get a special pelleted diet along with some seeds, fruits and vegetables.
We're always learning more about birds, and finding more bird resources.
